The number appeared on my caller I’d:
The automated caller said there were suspicious charges being charged on my bill for an iPhone worth $740. I hung up and called Amazon . Representative Rita Z. Assured me it was a scam call not to worry. She sent me this link to report it to you.
Sent from my iPhone
Got to a human and requested their name and ID number for verification as they claimed someone charged a $750+ for an iphone. Said they were not allowed to give out that information. No charges were attempted on my amazon account
Unauthorized attempt to purchase a product from Amazon

Monetary Loss: $0
Today I received a phone call on my land line phone with a message that an unauthorized request to purchase a cell phone on my Amazon account was made in the amount of $749. I was told to call the following number or stay on the line to speak with a representative from Amazon: 1 888 280 4331. I ignored this message. I then placed a call to Amazon at the same number to inquire about this matter. I was told by the representative who checked my account that no such order was ever placed with Amazon. She said it was a scam to get some of my personal information and that I should ignore the phone call. She sent me an email with the email address of the FTC. It should be noted that several days ago, I received a similar message on my cell phone about this unauthorized request to purchase a cell phone on my Amazon account in the amount of $749. Thinking it was an attempt to get my personal information, I did not respond to that message either. I believe that I have been scammed in an effort to get me to reveal some of my personal information. In each case, the phone number from which I received the call was 1 888 280 4331, which is the actual phone number for Amazon.
