I have received 2 calls today.
#1 - call from 800-970-6699 @ 2:28 pm
He knew my name and that he was calling from Amazon. wanting to know if I had purchased an iPhone over $700.00 recently I told him that I would contact Amazon myself, which I did, and they said they would not call, but send an e-mail!!!
#2 - call from 866-833-2967 @ 2:46 pm
He wanted my name, I told him that he should have it since he called me! When I said that, he told me my 1st & last name -saying he was from the Social Security Dept. He was trying to tell me that my SS# was being used (or something) and he wanted my name. So, I did give him my 1st name ONLY and he then wanted the last 4 numbers of my SS number. I didn't give him any of my SS# - I told him that if he was actually calling from the SS Dept, he should have my SS # and that I was having a very hard time understanding what he was saying and to let me speak to someone I could understand. He then hung up.
