Amozon Scam Selling 2014 Kia Seronto

  • Monetary Loss: $0
Found a 2014 Kia Seronto on Craigslist-Las Vegas NV and texted the # 402 286-5708 that was provided as contact info. A Silvia Walker replied claiming to be in the military & told me to e-mail her for more info as she was in the military & about to ship back out to Korea on Mar 19, 2016. She informed me the car was in Omaha, NB and that she was using Amazon Buyers Protection as a 3rd Party to handle the collection of funds on the sale as well as the shipping & delivery of the sale. Also that the car would arrive in 2-3days at which time I would receive all need documents and the title to take to DMV to transfer ownership & register vehicle. And that if for any reason I was dissatisfied with the vehicle i had 5 days to contact Amazon for refund of full purchase price within 24hrs & that the vehicle would be picked back up by Amazon & return to sell at sell expense. Then I recieved a e-mail from Amazon telling me to purchase Amazon pre-paid gift cards 11 total @ $500. each & to call 818 824-4944 & give them the card #'s and pin codes of the cards. And in the next 24hrs as soon as the seller received the Amazon gift card #'s the vehicle would be shipped to my home. I called Amazon customer service and was informed that Amazon does not handle any 3rd part used car transactions & that it was a complete scam. So I informed Silvia Walker that Amazon says it is a scam. And Silver Walker replied that I must have called the wrong department at Amazon & to call 818 824-4944 and that they would be able to take care of finalizing the sale for me. IT IS A SCAM AND SILVIA WALKER IS STILL TRY TO CON ME OUT OF MY CASH...

Unauthorized deduction from bank account

  • Monetary Loss: $105.10
Today is 3 April, 2016. I checked my bank accounts on-line a little while ago and found that somebody calling themselves "Amazon Prime" had taken $105.10 from my bank account supposedly for a "PRIME MEMBERSHIP." (1) I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF "AMAZON PRIME". (2) I have certainly not made application for an account. I tried checking these people out and found dozens of other people they have done this to. I have notified my bank and the local television station. Now I am telling you in hopes that you will investigate. By the way, they did this today, on a Sunday. I checked my accounts before I left for work this morning and there was no activity. These are definite scam artists and because it involves my bank, that makes it federal. Thank you. George D.

We got scammed by Marilyn Johnson/ safepay

  • by: Mawmaw

  • Monetary Loss: $4500.00
We were looking for a John Deere tractor and found a 2007 John Deere 3320 for $4500.00 which looked brand new. She sent us an email about 5 weeks or so layer with this story of how she had been at the hospital with her daughter and she had lost her husband 3 months earlier from a heart attack and was selling the tractor at this price because she wanted to get rid of it because of bad memories. (Oh, the sadness and we fell hook, line and sinker). Long story short we agreed to her terms. They duped us with Amazon gift cards.
Her name, which I'm sure is fake now: Marilyn Johnson,
She lives supposedly in Omaha ,Nebraska.
The invoice and all inquiries looked so real. The phone # correspondence is : (818) 824-4944
Thank God I kept the gift cards and printed off everything for my records. Once I figured we had been scammed, I went to my Amazon account and someone called me immediately and they saved $3000.00 of our money.
Hindsight, 20/20. But just be aware of anyone using this name and of this Phone #. Plus I learned my lesson!!!

A Amazon problem, called the number I found on the Internet. Ended up being a scam number.

Tried to tell Amazon about the problem and they would not give me to their Security Department. Felt it was a serious problem for others that called the same number. They wanted $219.00 to fix a problem we were having with Amazon fire. They helped me fix my problem but would not give me to their security department so I could tell them what had happened. This type of fraud needs to be stopped and Amazon did not seem to care. If this gets to Amazon I hope someone from their security department will contact me. I do not wish to give out more info and get more info from other scammers. If Amazon is willing to contact me I'll tell them everything I know.
