A male person with a very heavy accent pretending to work for amazon stating that someone is trying to use my credit card. I do not have a credit card with amazon . I was told it was important that i give him the number so that he could take care of it now. I new it was a scam and hung up and checked the phone number on my caller id 402-160-7276. I also called amazon and reported it. Also my phone service that i have on my phone shows fraudulent call.

There were some unauthorized purchases on my discover card, this fraudulent number appeared on my phone, when talked to this guy, he told me to purchase a debit card worth $500.00 from a store and call him back, when I called him back he asked me to give the debit card number from the back of that card. InApril and now again in May $12.99 charges were posted to our Citi credit card for Amazon Prime. I have never had Amazon Prime. I started by e-mailing Amazon Prime of the incident, got a response that said you do not have Amazon Prime, I responded I know I want you to credit the fee on my credit card. May bill, no credit and a new charge. I did a search to find the number for Amazon customer service to talk to a live person. the number that came up on my search was 855-378-6468. I dialed it, a man answered, identified himself as an Amazon customer service rep. He accessed my laptop...told me a bunch of crap and eventually said he had access to a "group" of technicians the that could clean up my computer and block the hackers who were charging my credit card...It was just going to cost $249.99 to get this done. About 5 years ago the same type of scam happened to us, and I knew enough to know a valid Amazon customer service rep would not be making this offer, so I hung up. He was actively in my lap top all this time. The craziest part of this is I just called my Citi card to cancel my card and issue a new one. The number on my Citi card for their was the exact number that I dialed for Amazon. The Citi card person said I should contact you
I purchased a $500.00 gift card for Amazon on Friday, May 22, 2020 fromTops store #236 , S. 6150 South Park , Hamburg, New York 14075. 2 hours later I checked it before giving it as a gift, I got a message that this gift card was redeemed through another account. I went back to Tops, the manager said after we activate the card it is out of our hands and that I would have to go through Amazon to deal with it. After trying to find a way to report this to Amazon, I discovered there is no way to repot it
