I received a phone call from a “Amazon” security team. They said someone was accessing my account and charging phones to it. They wanted access to my phone through team viewer so they could refund money to my Cash App. They are very pushy.

Call saying they were amazon

Monetary Loss: $0
Call said they were amazon and that I had a 500 dollar charge on my card and they wanted my bank info to refund the money.
I was told that a charge of $279 was charged to my Visa card. When I called the number a man answered with just "Hello" and not an Amazon greeting. I asked him why and he hung up. We called back from another phone and said we're reporting them t the NJ State Police and he immediately hung up.
This number called with an automated message stating that my Amazon account had been compromised and that someone tried to purchase an Iphone 10S for $799.00 on my account and that I should press one to confirm or 2 to cancel. I hung up and called Amazon to see if this was from them and they stated no and checked my account and nothing was on there as of an Iphone.
My 83 year old mother keeps getting fraud calls stating she owes $900 on her anazon account. She has never had an amazon account. She doesn't have internet access or a computer. I called amazon and they said it is fraudulent activity. I tried to call the number on her caller id and it states "this number does not accept calls". I told her ignore the calls but they are calling her everyday. It is making her very nervous.
The call was recorded on landline phone message machine. No phone #. i got this phone # on caller id. he said they were charging my visa $299.00 for a purchase i made at amazon today. when i called he hung up on me twice. i reported this to my bank and they told me to report to you.Also. i have never ordered anything from amazon. dont even have an account.
