Shrink wrap advertising on car

  • Monetary Loss: $0
Contacted to have advertisement for Colgate shrink wrapped onto my car.

For this I’d be paid $500 per week.

I was sent a check for $1,963.40. I was instructed to deposit the check and take cash out then wait for further instructions.

I researched and found info about this scam type, therefore I did not deposit the check. I plan to shred it and dispose of it.

If you have different instructions, please let me know ASAP

I received an email from the above name and email address stating they represent Tropicana Orange Juice. They are looking for people with a vehicle to display a Tropicana advertising on their car and they will 500.00 a week. Then they ask u to answer a few questions then they will see if u qualify. Next I got a follow up reply stating they will send me a check in 500.00 is mine and the additional amount is to pay for the logo ad display to place on car. After that a check for 500 will be sent every week over the next 3 months. I will get instructions how to distribute the funds in excess of 500.00 to cover the cost of the logo that goes on car.
