Phishing

The scammer (going by the name Victoria Whitford) inquired about my post on Craigslist (http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/roo/5442946493.html)
It's an ad to rent a room. I responded to her that the room is available. She then requested for me to take down my post and consider her as a strong serious tenant and she will be sending me a check. She requested for me to send her information such as 1.) who she needs to make the check to 2.) complete address of the room 3.) my phone number. I provided those information as they're already been posted on the original ad I created. I informed her NOT to send me any checks/monies as I am not taking down my post and I am not considering or accepting her as tenant. She then followed it up with a very long email asking me to do her a favor as to be the recipient of a car she apparently have ordered. Everything from the time she's telling me she's sending a check to me without even knowing who I am to asking me to take down the post online, and now she's telling me she's entrusting me with her car being delivered are all wrong and I believe that this is all a scam. I am now afraid that this person has my address and phone number.

This so called Jolie emailed me back with a link to use.com with pictures of the car. Same story as the other people have said, she'll have the car "shipped" and she's selling it cheap because of a deceased husband.

I was attempting to sell a car on craigslist and got an email from James posing as a military member and asking that he pay through paypal as he was unable to travel. I was then asked to put up $2000 up front through an online money transfer to Chris Strickland at 7322 Wallace Ave Huntsville, Alabama 35805. I suspect I am not the only target for this individual/s. I would appreciate it if they were somehow stopped or punished for taking advantage of people

I seen a charger for sale on Craigslist for 3 grand I inquired about it and a Brenda Jenkins responded saying she was on a military base in Nebraska and was selling the car cheap because she had no time to negotiate with people and needed the money by February 29th to put down on a home in Alaska where she was being transferred too. She stated the car could be bought threw eBay where she also has it listed and she would send me the link so I could purchase the car...and that she was also apart of the eBay member something that basically she stated she wouldn't be able to touch the money until I receive the car and I had 5 days to either return the car or go ahead with the purchase.
