  • Monetary Loss: $5750
They contacted me by text regarding a machine I was selling on Craigslist. They requested my name and email address to pay using PayPal. The funds showed up in my PayPal account but, were somehow frozen and could not be cashed out to me.

I had change my PayPal account because they had compromised it's security.

They are running a car wrap advertising scam on Craigslist.

I was accepted to do a part time advertising job by having my car wrapped with a Mountain Dew logo. All I have to do is take my first 400 dollars out of a check they are going to send me and then the rest gets paid to the auto wrap detailer. I searched online before accepting because it seemed too easy. There is a long list of scams based on this premise and this number is scamming people as well.

Seller set up an escrow type account using Amazon Payments invoice #TYM-185804, which is not a service provided by Amazon, although it looked very authentic? I did as the instructions described and found out less than 24 hrs later was a scam? I have all the Email communications describing this complete transaction.

Honda Accord Hybrid Craigslist scam

  • Monetary Loss: $0
Contacted a seller on Craigslist about a low priced 1,500 Honda Accord Hybrid on Craigslist for St. gorge Utah. I was skeptical about it because of the price. I text the male Bill and he told me to contact his wife through email at [email protected], I did and she sent me a photo bucket link of pictures of the car and said it was priced low to get rid of it because it was her sons car that died 6 months ago and she wants it gone asap. I told her that I could meet with her on Sunday and the I received the mail to send her my full name and address and ebay will send me a link to put the money on and the car will be shipped from Alabama. There was the Catch and the big red flag. I don't know how many people these low lives has scammed but I'm sure I will not be the last they try.

thank you for your help

I have been scammed by Clarissa Page

  • by: smithld14

  • Monetary Loss: $3750
On Craigslist I saw a 2008 Toyota 4Runner for sale for 2500.00. A lady named Clarissa emailed me info and pictures pertaining to the vehicle. She said that the vehicle was insured through ApplePay Insurance and once I received the vehicle (via shipping) they would release the funds to the buyer. I sent 3750.00 via a prepaid card for the price of the car plus shipping. Once the money was sent and confirmed all communication stopped. When I felt it was a scam I created a new email account and inquired about the same vehicle. The person responded back with the same information

Clarissa lives in California and told me that she wanted to sell the vehicle because she was going overseas for the US Army and didn't want her car just sitting in a garage. She told me the car needed to be sold by March 5 and the price was 2500.00. The next day she emailed me and said that there is another 1250.00 due because since the vehicle was sold undervalued that amount had to be paid to ship the vehicle
