A woman with a thick accent called me to tell me that I had been pre-selected by the government to receive $8000.00 in grant money and to call 567-251-5222 to get my money. I am not stupid to fall for stuff like this. Just thought I would report this.

My daughter received a phone call and they told her she had been awarded a grant for 9,000.0. She could either to to CVS or a Walgreens to complete the paperwork or give them her checking account number (they could deposit the funds). She gave them her checking account information!! (ugh) I called the bank immediately after she told me this and they blocked her account. So far there has been no damage. But worry about the future!!
An Indian man called me and said that Obama had picked up to a certain amount of people to receive $7,000 for being a loyalty tax paying citizen who doesn't have a criminal background on 1/19/2016. They said i can receive it three different ways. 1. Direct deposit 2. By credit card 3. By cash from a moneygram Walmart store. So I said if it's true I want it by cash. They said no problem, but in order to receive it they had to make sure it was me personally. They told me my name and address and then that i had to send $250 to Paul Hester that's the manger of the government bank that's in Florida who holds the money to my acct and that I would get reimburse the money back with the grant loyalty fund's this and that. I thought it was true because you could trace something like that right? Anyways to make a long story short today is 1/23/16 and I'm realized I got scammed out of my money and I just don't want anyone else to go down the same road I did and hopefully I can get my money back somehow and yes I kept all my documents.
