Monetary Loss: $0
American Sweepstakes Publishers keeps calling my dad claiming that he has won a cash prize that they will deliver to him but he must present them with money before they hand over the check. The latest scam from this "company" asked him to open an account with "Chase" bank (800-381-9426) in order for them to deposit his recent winnings of 700,034 dollars. He has fallen for these scams before sending them money orders and received a check for 4000.00 that bounced!
A friend instant messages me that did I know about the good news. My name was on a list of winners. He is a fake and the person I contacted even bigger fraud. Urging me to pay the fee and wait for my winning package by UPS. All fake.
