Secret Survey Assingment Scam
Received USPS Priority Mail from a click-N-Ship slip return address BBUNET Logistics Inc. LLC; 570 S. Van Ness Ave; San Francisco, CA 94110-4054.
In side the envelope was instructions and a cashier's check for $1,950.52. I was instructed to deposit the check at my bank, purchase 3 American Express Gift Cards totaling $1500. Keep $50.00 aside for further instructions and Keep $400.00 as payment for the job. I did none of the above. The first thing I did was researched this for scams. Thank God! So I am now reporting this for others who may fall victim to this scam.
The assignment was to purchase the card from stores that sales American Express Gift cards, open pack, peel the silver scratch-off area, capture image of card, front and back, do not discard the card, capture the image of the receipts, Complete the following questions: get store name, address, date and time of visit, name of the cashier, did the store clerk thank you, what was your overall experience with staff in the store, how long it took to get checked out, don't let the store know you are observing them. email or text information to 346-200-2388 or [email protected]
