Monetary Loss: $0
I breed and sell registered puppies. I have had several text messages from someone claiming they want to buy one. At the end of the "deal" they told me they want my bank account number, routing number and my personal information while they hold on to their money while my information checks out.

I was found on a kijiji website a man by the name James Dominic had Neapolitan Mastiff Pups for sale. I contacted him and made arrangements to purchase one. He emailed me back with details to send funds via e transfer. Then this courier company sent me an email regarding proper crate for pup. James and I were going to split the cost. He contacted me stating he submitted his portion. I was hesitant at this time. Then i went with it. A day went by and I kept contacting for updated information. They didn’t touch my e-transfer. Then it came to be that James contacted me saying he had to stop his transfer because his wife got into an accident. So i stopped mine too. The courier company got a hold of me saying they didn’t know what to do with the pup. Basically pulling on my heart strings. So I transferred funds after talking with one of them. I was then told the pup would arrive that morning, never did. Much communication has been going on between me and the courier company. When i first because weary of the whole situation I googled the company and found a site, so i believed it to be true.
Today is now day 3 and still no pup. I found this site and sounds very familiar.
We sent $450 via Zelle to purchase a puppy from this "breeder". As the time arrived to ship Sophia, I received an e-mail regarding the need for a special crate. The $762 cost of the crate would be refunded once the puppy was delivered and the crate was returned. I refused to send additional funds. After many e-mails, I began to realize that this was a scam. I requested a refund but was told that refunds were not issued. Has anyone had positive results regarding a refund? I feel pretty stupid but I fell in love with the puppy and was blinded by the pictures.
