Then she replied: Alright here is the Agent text number 214) 997-2899Text her that you want to enroll for a individual application and get back to me okay. This person is trying to lure young women to hotels

I received this text this morning.

"Hello, I'm Laura Brown, we are hiring hair stylist for the February edition of InStyle Magazine. I came across your profile online while scouting for talents that will suit the case and we were able go through your previous works. We quite believe you will be able to provide an exceptional and professional service on the day of our shoot. Email me with your resume or an email confirming your interest at ([email protected]).. Kind Regards,. Laura Brown"

Instantly, I knew this was some sort of scam. Why would a big time magazine editor be contacting me by text at 5 in the morning? Why did the message not address me by name?

I typed in "In-style Job Scam" on google and what I found was pretty scary. I was thinking this scam was some kind of ploy to get my personal information or cc number. But after reading about it online, the scammers actually try to get young girls to meet them, stating the photoshoots are at hotels. They send emails and texts out to young makeup artists and hair stylists trying to lure them, possibly for sex trafficking.
