Almost scammed by “Donald S Fry”
Claims to be a home owner that moved to California. Asks for basic information to rent from him and then requested to ship via fedex the keys but requested a deposit to do so before we were even shown property. Same exact way as reported on here prior DO NOT send him anything.

Rentals by Owners - SCAM
Same experience as others, with the same intro email from "rentals by owners" under [email protected] - did you get my info about the rental then asking which property because something was wrong with their server, etc. Offering a vrbo property at under half the price but the dates I gave him weren't available on the vrbo listing. I inquired about that and was told he can't update the site until the person who canceled gets their refund, etc. I contacted the host directly from the vrbo listing asking if Mark Miller was the property manager. He was not. He will be reported by both of us. I did not give my address or phone number but he can certainly get my name from my email address. Any advice on the next steps?
