So I was looking for a house for rent and I was checking a house on Craigslist and found one for 800$ all utilities included.first red flag was they could not show us the house because they lived out of town,2nd red flag was they had nobody that could shoe us the house,3rd red flag was the had me fill out an application which didn't require my social or anything but they didn't ask for many questions they asked how many pets, how many occupants, and my name.i told them I would have a few roommates all over the age of 18.they didn't even want them to fill out and application and literally 3 minutes after I filled out the application they said I was accepted which was another red flag and so I asked well why haven't you asked when we can move in or anything like that and they simply said when do you want to move in ?and I said by may 8th and they said that's fine.but then they told me I had to send them money with no proof or signed documents or anything like that so I said how about you send me some paperwork to sign and copies then I'll send you the money and they said no they cannot do that so I simply said ok well I'm not sending you money then.luckily I didn't fall for it but I don't want anyone else to fall for it.and there Craigslist post was flagged and taken down.I have txt and email proof as well.

This person put some adds on the realtor.com website about a house for rent. They give you good and professional information... ask you to fill an application form (with all your personnal informations and a copy of your ID)... because everybody from who you want to rent ask the same thing, you just fill the form... they send you back a contract and ask 650$ for the deposit (i didnt send the money but they still have my informations and ID)... they also send you a copy of what it is suppose to be the owner passport and some pictures ... i am pretty sure this guy is the previous victim !... i refused to send the money so they ''disappear''... i bet i will be the next ''owner'' and they will send my ID and name when they will try to hook somebody else.

As everybody else's complaint I had an antique hood orniment for sale for $130 and they offered me $50 more and wanted me to take my post down. She said her husband would ups me a certified check from his bank. The check got here for $1630 and I needed to deposit the money get my $180 and money gram the remaining balance. I took the check to the bank and put a hold on it 3 days later the check came back altered or fictious. Receiver's Name: Lazaria Jarrett
Address: 819 Robin Hood Trai
City: Statesboro
State: GA 30458
That is the name and address where they wanted the money sent to. Do not cash these checks these people are sending you will be liable for the money not them because there is no account connected to them that's why they are sending large amounts of fake checks so you will use your bank account and they get cash then you will have to pay your bank back for that fake check.

James Numan had placed two homes on Apartment.com, i seen it and thought what a good price. Then i had text him thinking it was to late to call. That was suppose to have been a great deal 700.00 a month and 700.00 down. Well he sent me this email with the some wanted info of me. I never sent it. Then i asked some people what they thought and all they said was a scam, what got me was when he said "im in a governmental programmer that sponsors my utilities on monthly basis."
ok now look that word.

House Rental Scam

I'm in the process of renting a house. It is currently listed through a Property Management site which is legitimate. But, somehow a lady who claims to own this house wants to rent it out instead of using a Property Management business. She claims she will rent it to me for $500 a money. I need to send it via a money gram and she will send me the proper paperwork (rental agreement) and the keys. Sad thing is she has been using the LORD's name to scam people out of their money.

There was a rental posting for a home in Birmingham, MI on Apartments.com. I sent in an email inquiry and received a response that it still on the market, but they are out of the country and I should ignore the For Sale sign in the lawn. They went as far to say they are missionaries and provided a link to legit website. However, I went to try to locate the original link for the rental and it was gone. When I looked up the property address, I found that it is being rented through a Realtor with a much higher rent than than posted on the alternate site. I also looked up the name and found that they have done this in other states with the same template email but under a different email address ( [email protected]) see below:

Hello,

Thanks for your interest and inquiries about my house. Yes the house is still available for rent and we are looking for a responsible person/family to occupy and maintain the house now that we are not around. Myself and Wife just traveled to West Africa for a program called SERVING IN MISSION (SIM), you can view the link for more info: (http://www.sim.org/index.php/content/our-purpose).

We will be away for 2 to 3 years or more that is why I have made up my mind to put up my house for rent to whom ever that will take good care of it. However, my initial plan was to sell the house but it was not successful because the Realtor raised the price which made it difficult for me to sell before leaving the States so never mind if you see the for sale sign in front of the house, It has already been taken off the market as for sale so there is no need to contact any Realtor.

Also how long do you intend to stay? How soon do you intend to move in?
