Leasing a house

I seen a website for a house for rent in Cupertino $900 for 2 bedroom. I looked it up on Google and it was apartment complex with a leasing office. I spoken to the office and they stated it was a fraud because I was the second person to contact them about $900 rental property. I text the crook about seeing the place and he or she said they moved to Georgia and they are not available to meet but to give them the money in advance so they could hold the place.

Disappointed

Me and my husband were searching for a house to rent, we came across a beautiful home. We contacted the owner but he/she didn't reply. Later he replied apologizing on how he didn't get back to us on time because he was busy working but he sent us an application asking us for our name, if we had any pets, etc. So we filled it out and he said we got approved so later he told us that he was going to ship us a package that contained the keys to the house, paperwork, directions, etc. He asked how much we could send him on the deposit & we said $700. So the next day he requested me to go deposit the money so he can ship the package and he kept pressuring me to do it. So as I'm sending the money he send me the information. He calls me and tells me that hes at the FedEx store ready to ship the package and sends me a receipt through email. Then he tells me that I'll be receiving it by Tuesday morning (04/19/2016) at 10am. I go out and run some errands and I come home expecting for a FedEx employee to knock and leave something on my door steps. I go check my mail and nothing. I try contacting the person but he doesn't answer my calls or texts or emails. Then I realize that this might've been a fraud. I'm disappointed, ashamed and upset with myself. How can this happen to me? Please help with anything you can!

They posted a photo of a house for rent for $600 for rent and $600 for deposit. Asked for my email and sent me info on the property. No photos of the inside of the home. when I drove by to look at it their were cars in the driveway and windows open but they were claiming they were in Texas. Unfortunately I gave them my name address and phone number. Cause I fell for it.

I found a house on craigslist. E mailed the guy, he responded with a good story how his family got transfer to Texas with a ministry. I even went as far as to get his "attorney's" phone number and address. I talked with both of them several times and they guaranteed me this was not a scam.
