Henry Gilliam attempted to book two rooms at our guest ranch. He said he was booking the rooms for his brother and a friend of his brother. After numerous back and forth emails, and tremendous wasted time (monetary loss), when it came time for the deposit, Henry said he was sending a cashier's check for the rooms, and then we were to pay $900.00 to him for him to cover a translator fee. We inquired with other guest ranches and learned that the cashier's check is fraudulent, but takes several days for the bank to be able to advise, so the $900.00 would already be gone.

I received your inquiry about my property for rent. My name is James Newman, My family and I just moved down to Greenville Kentucky due to my job transfer i work as a road constructor here, we will be here for 12 to 13 years. My initial plan was to sell the house but I find it difficult to let go this adorable home, I have decided to rent home to a responsible tenant who is willing to take very good care of it in our absence. Pets are allowed as long as they are not destructive. The rent is $900 and security deposit is $900 and total move-in cost is $1800 and all the utilities are included in the monthly rent, as i am in a governmental programmer that sponsors my utilities on monthly basis and pets are also allowed. You can drive-by to view the outside and neighborhood of the house and get back to me with the rental questionnaire filled out.

Looking forward to hearing from you with all these details so that I can have it in my file in case of issuing the receipt and contacting you. Await your reply so we can discuss on how to get the document and the key to you.

N.B: I want you to know that we never had an intention of renting out the home until we got down here when my wife got sick so we had to rent out the home so we can use the monthly rent as a source of income to carter for my wife and the kids,so should in case we had an intention of renting the home then we would have drop down the keys with someone to handle the rental on our behalf but since we don't then that is why we had to bring the keys over here,so we will be mailing out the keys to you as soon as we finalize the rental processes OK?

Thanks and God bless.

I am looking for a house to rent, as my mom passed 12*18/2015. Lost my job, then, my mom, my car, and my home. My family and I are living in a motel. I found the house on the web, and contacted the "owner" she proceeded to ask how many occupants and so on. I received a text from her today saying that i could rent the house. Then she told me to send the deposit and she would send the keys and information. I knew right then what was up. This is the 3rd time it has happened to me. Its not right for these people to get away with this and let honest people down.

They sent an email trying to rent a property that I have listed. They are acting like they are me (Janet Hall) and acting as if they are the owner of the home. I will attach the email they sent to a potential renter.

We contacted a rental app? Saw house listed for rent for $900. After speaking with Rev he requested $200 to hold in good faith. An additional 1600 required to move in. He requested money to be Western Union to him immediately. Me and family visited property and found out he is not property owner. I am certain he has collected money from unsuspecting people. Please arrest this man. ASAP. He preys on the poor. Please. I lost only time. I'm sure others have lost more.

Ricky Eng posed as owner of my condo

Ricky Eng's roommate moved out in Feb., 2016 and he was unable to pay rent. I agreed to let him have another month to try to find another roommate. On Mar 1, he paid both Feb and Mar rents. I just received a phone call from the on-site manager to check with me on the new renters? I talked with the new renters who told me they found the condo on Craig's list and had met with Ricky Eng. They put down a $1350. deposit; Mar. rent $1350, signed a 6 month's lease, and moved. ( I charge $950/month). Ricky Eng told them he was the owner. The new renters are from Florida, and very upset. Phone calls ensued. They told him to return their money. He says he will return their money on April 1, but if he is in legal problems he will need that money to return to Korea. He has many, many stories; to tenants he or his father is Air Force, that he is not a citizen. He told me he was prior Army, attending University of Hawaii working on a degree. He insists to renters that I gave him permission to sublet, which I did not. His stories keep changing; you cannot believe anything he says. By Hawaii laws he is in hot water. I want him to return the renter's money, and the set of condo keys that he has. I think Craig's List needs to be aware of what this individual has done.
