Social security scam

Monetary Loss: $0
A recording was informing me that my social security number has been canceled due to illegal activity. A live person then came on the line and was asking for my social security number when I refused to give my social security number over the phone, we were disconnected. When I tried to call the number back I got a recording saying "call can not be completed because number is no longer accepting calls "
Received a phone message on my recorder, stating that there has been unusual activity on my Social Security card, and if I don't call 202-838-8125, and if I don't contact them I am in contempt. And then says it you no longer live here push 5. This was on my home phone.

Fake call pretending to be from the social security administration. Told me that I had my identity stolen and they had all my account information. They had my old Santa Cruz address. I think I scared them off by asking questions.
