I was busy at work and unfortuneately when I received a call on my cell was not paying attention and the call was not clear. The womean said she was a govt employee and I could receive some free health care equipment. Since I was not paying full attention all I remember is she knew my address and kept asking questions about my health and then I stupidly gave her the last 4 digits of my social security no, and then she hung up. I am really worried about identity thefth and my spouse is a 100percent Viet Nam Vet and very ill. Is there anything I can do to protect our odentities. With graditude, Judith Ann Santiago

A man by the name of Jason Hebdrix called me from the number 850-808-7130 on March 8th 2019. He said he was from the SS Administration. He said my social security number had been suspended due to fraudulent activity using my ss # and driver license #. He said the U.S Marshall, an Officer Reed, needed to speak to me due to charges pending on me in California and Florida. He said they found an abandoned car in California with the car being registered to me and there was alot of blood in the car so I was a person of interest in that investigation. Then an account was opened with my name in Florida and
now has insufficient funds of 200,000. When they went to the address the account was opened under they found a large amount of drugs so I was also under investigations for that. He said I had to call Marshall Reed to answer some questions. His contact number was 202-991-9528. I did not give him any personal information. But he new my name and address. When I called Officer Reed he asked me to call back tomorrow at 9 am and they would ask me questions to get this matter straightened out. After the investigations are done I would have to fill out an Asset Verification form and a new social security number.
A woman by the name of Just Fitzgerald calls. She says she is from legal support services. She says there is a claim attached to my social security number and if the issue is not resolved they will send police to my home or job to take me to jail. She also has been calling my parents home with the same information for me. She called us both last year at this time of year with the same statement. When I answer it's a recording that starts out with please do not hang up, this is not a sales call there has been a claim filed attached to your social security number.
